A typical monthly cost for Payment Protection Insurance
available through Towergate Home & Protect is £6.64
(underwritten by Alpha A/S for customers aged 18 - 65) and
£5.34 (underwritten by Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) PLC for
customers aged 31 - 35) for every £100 of monthly benefit. This is
inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax ‘IPT’ at the current rate of 6%.
This cost is based on a customer taking out full accident, sickness
and unemployment option with 30 day back to day one cover, 12
months benefit and no deferred premium payment period.
